About

Change is neither good nor bad.   It just is.   It can be scary, bittersweet, sad, frustrating or wonderful; it all depends how we look at it.   We say good-bye to something we knew and we say hello to something new.

For eight years, I made softies based on children’s drawings.  I could have kept doing this, but something inside me said it was time for a change.

  1. Hello,
I love what you have done with these dolls and would love one for my daughter, how much are you selling them for? I would love a Malala one!
    Thank you,
    Eve

  2. Hi Wendy,

What a wonderful idea!! I am very interested in buying two dolls (one for my daughter and one for my son). What dolls are currently available? How much are they? Do you take requests?

    Thank you!

  3. Hello, Wendy! I just wanted to say THANK YOU for what you’ve done with the dolls. You are wonderful and you’ve done such a beautiful job executing a brilliant and important concept. Thank you!! 😀

  4. Dear Wendy,
I’m from Colombia and I’m actually developing a project very much like yours, with books and other resources about amazing real Latin-American women. I’m trying to get financing and learning about how to better get to know the project. I’d love to share with you some ideas and concerns! Congrats for this amazing project!

  5. I’ve always hated the “Bratz” dolls, and that hatred just intensified when I became the father of two little girls. I LOVE how you’ve converted them into role models. I also would love to buy the whole lot for my daughters — but it seems like you already have more bidders than dolls! 🙂 Best of luck!

  6. This is such an amazing idea and execution! There is such a disjoint in our society between real role models and the crap you see in stores and on TV. Thank you for bridging it in a way that is both interesting for girls and informative! Please make them for sale.

  7. I Think you could be designing these folks for a company that makes folks. They would definitely sell and compete with Bratz dolls in store ailes.
